Welcome to the blog

Here you can find recent story sessions, love stories, or even updates on my life! After all, what is a world without stories? Here are some of mine.

Minnesota Engagement Session | Choua + Lue

Talk about cuties. Choua + Lue’s engagement session was so sweet – we hung out at a local park , traipsed around on the park path, and got all cuddly. These two were all smiles throughout their entire photo session! Special thanks to the Minnesota sun for gifting us a beautiful little golden hour for these two lovebirds!

Sunrise Day-After Session on a Maui Beach

Day-after sessions are hands-down my favorite sessions. You’re officially married, you celebrated with friends and family, and now you are starting your next chapter together. What is better than documenting day one. We woke up before the sun stretched its rays over the ocean and Jessie + Jake walked and played on Hana beaches as husband and wife. They brought some extra local fruit from their wedding…

Hannah + Dan’s Lumber Exchange Wedding

Hannah + Dan kicked off 2020 with a Leap Day bang! Their family and friends came together to support them and truly brought it. Hannah’s sisters had the most amazing “Maids of Honor” speech including an imaginary canoe, homemade paddles, and all the floaty gear. Dan’s brother gifted him a beautiful ring box that was gifted him on his wedding day. All of The Lumber Exchange’s nooks and crannies lent themselves well to H+D’s beautifully natural wedding day.

Stillwater Engagement Session | Justine + Ryan

I’m so lucky to live in Stillwater, MN, close to all kinds of beautiful hot spots and amazing views. Justine + Ryan wanted photos in nature and we lucked out with the extra perk of vibrant fall colors and a beautiful day! PLUS, they brought their dog, and really nothing gets better than fall engagement session with your dog!

Maui, Hawaii – Oceanview Wedding in Hana

Jessie + Jake’s love story began when they met at church and each separately decided to go on a full-time mission trip in Hawaii together. Their church was building a retreat center for church leaders to rest and re-energize. An absolute paradise. Tents, hammocks, standing buildings on stilts…

Pinewood Wedding Venue Photo Tour

Holy wow. Heart eyes were in full bloom when I walked into Pinewood last week for this shoot. Pinewood is a new wedding venue in Minnesota and I can see their elegant space nestled into a small forest as a bride’s dream wedding venue.

Let’s talk about Pinewood’s beautiful space! When you first arrive, you see their beautiful, bold, and tall venue in the woods. They provide parking and have little trails to walk (bonus, they are a dog friendly wedding venue!) When you enter the building, you are in the…

2019 Wedding Highlights

Oh what a wonderful year. A year full of love. A year full of new friendships. A year full of new connections, new community and so much growth. Take a peek through the 2019 love stories I got to photograph!

Breckenridge, Colorado Adventure Engagement Session

Cassie, Dylan, and I met at a coffee shop to chat about their wedding, their plans, and their story. It was immediately evident how much they loved Colorado – they even had hopes of getting married there. So it is only natural that we trekked out to Breckenridge for their engagement photos! It makes my heart so happy when I get to photograph adventurous couples. To anyone considering an adventurous engagement session or wedding: do it. There is nothing like being in a place with magical beauty. Mountains, lakes, oceans, national parks. You name the place and I’ll follow you there.
