I met Valeria + Adrian on a trip to Costa Rica in January and we ended up spending most of our seperate vacations together. They were on a getaway trip from central Costa Rica, and I was on my birthday trip escaping the Minnesota winters.

Today is Emily + Adam’s wedding day and even though Covid-19 postponed their initial plans, they are still exchanging vows and officially becoming husband and wife during all of this craziness. I think that means they were really meant for each other : ) So in honor of their wedding day, I share with you there engagement photos from last summer!

Being from Washington, Becca + Mike were sure they wanted beautiful nature in their photos and Interstate State Park fit the bill. Talk about cuties. Choua + Lue’s engagement session was so sweet – we hung out at a local park , traipsed around on the park path, and got all cuddly. These two were all smiles throughout their entire photo session! Special thanks to the Minnesota sun for gifting us a beautiful little golden hour for these two lovebirds!

Day-after sessions are hands-down my favorite sessions. You’re officially married, you celebrated with friends and family, and now you are starting your next chapter together. What is better than documenting day one. We woke up before the sun stretched its rays over the ocean and Jessie + Jake walked and played on Hana beaches as husband and wife. Hannah + Dan kicked off 2020 with a Leap Day bang! Their family and friends came together to support them and truly brought it. Hannah’s sisters had the most amazing “Maids of Honor” speech including an imaginary canoe, homemade paddles, and all the floaty gear. Dan’s brother gifted him a beautiful ring box that was gifted him on his wedding day. All of The Lumber Exchange’s nooks and crannies lent themselves well to H+D’s beautifully natural wedding day.

Holy wow. Trying to fit all my memories from my trip to Costa Rica into one blog was tough. Pairing it down to just my favorites was no easy task because of all the beautiful places and memories, but here we are. A small glimpse into this solo trip in January! Oh how I wish I was there right now!

I’m so lucky to live in Stillwater, MN, close to all kinds of beautiful hot spots and amazing views. Justine + Ryan wanted photos in nature and we lucked out with the extra perk of vibrant fall colors and a beautiful day! PLUS, they brought their dog, and really nothing gets better than fall engagement session with your dog!
