Cassie, Dylan, and I met at a coffee shop to chat about their wedding, their plans, and their story. It was immediately evident how much they loved Colorado – they even had hopes of getting married there. So it is only natural that we trekked out to Breckenridge for their engagement photos! It makes my heart so happy when I get to photograph adventurous couples. C+D road trip to Colorado every year as a tradition and I am so honored to have been able to tag along this year and document there mountain adventures!
To anyone considering an adventurous engagement session or wedding: do it. There is nothing like being in a place with magical beauty. Mountains, lakes, oceans, national parks. Go. Just being a third wheel with Cassie and Dylan, my heart felt free being in nature – as it always does. I haven’t been able to camp enough times or backpack often enough this year, so this was just what my heart needed.
We traipsed through pine trees, caught the views at Sapphire Point Overlook, and spent meaningful time at the camp site that is a regular for them. I loved everything about this session.

Woweee Rachel! So many beautiful images. I really love how you took the time to get the details (the mountain shot through them kissing, and them sitting on the tree are my favorite). Love this post.
Yaaassss Rachel this is SO fun!! Definitely makes me want to go on a fun hike with my hubby and hire you to take our photos
Okkk that double exposure photo tho!! My heart!! Scrolling through these I smell pine and feel cool mountain air contrasted by the warmth of all the snuggles. These photos are totally genuine and I caught myself smiling right along with them. Amazing work Rachel!!
